Sorry - my bad

Date Posted: Feb 17, 2012

Hey y'all. Sorry about that - I meant to post on Monday... But things have been busy.

Needless to say, I've been studying through the book of Acts, superficially of course. I've been observing all the miracles performed, all the healings, and all the conversions.

The cool thing is, though, that Acts lines up with modern day Nicaragua. People here have real demons, they have real sicknesses and have been healed and there have been real conversions. God is so cool, eh?

So, what's happened in the last week (and a half)?

Corey and Ashley went home (sad day) Monday night. We picked up another couple who arrived seperate - Paul and Michelle. Paul is a hoot who is teaching me some things I never knew! And Michelle is from Feed My Starving Children (who I still think is a spy to see what we're doing with our food, haha) who's here for an internship.

On top of that we went to an area in Las Torres where a "pastor" performed a hostile take-over of a school and is trying to throw the old director under the bus because she's trying to keep what remains open. Our ministry is preparing to allow her to bus her students to our compound to study in the morning and bus them back so they have a legal covering -- right now they're not a legitimate school because of the "pastor".

Today we're heading out to another new and foreign area called "Boaca".
