Farewell America!
Well, here it is.... the day that we've all been waiting for!
I am currently sitting in Miami International (MIA) and am eagerly awaiting the announcement to board the flight to Managua, Nicaragua, where I will immediately begin to assimilate into the culture of Nicaragua and begin to perform carry out the mission that God has sent me on.
This trip as I prepared for it was exciting and had no worries, but it wasn't until I walked through security, leaving my mother as well as a few friends who decided to use their morning to see me off, and felt the instant seperation from my loved ones that I began to feel the anxiety of wanting to remain with them and remain comfortable... But too bad I have the final say over my flesh and all those ailments are overpowered and overjoyed by the love that God has given me and wants me to share with His people in Nicaragua.
The question that remains in my head is what is "What is God going to teach me while I'm there?" I can't wait to begin to learn all that God has in store for me as well for the people of Nicaragua who I see in the clinic and love on. It's amazing to think that God's love is so vast that it encompasses the entire world's population. How can I fathom that?! I can't. Will I try and do my best? Absolutely.
On the way here, I read the book of Jude and verse 21 said this: "Keep yourself in God's love..." That's my aim and while I aim for that goal, I will in turn share it with others. Helping them to trash the doubts that plague them and help them turn to the hope and incomprehensible joy that the Lord gives us. But shouldn't that really be the goal of each of us every single day?
Also, to all my sponsors, prayer warriors, family, friends, acquaintances, and children of God (that should cover it), thank you for all your prayers, support and encouragement. I consider it pure joy that you all would choose to assist me and push me to follow in what God's called me to do. I love each and every one of you and can't wait to see you all again. My current return date is listed as May 21, however it may end up being pushed back a bit so I can return with the group from my church. Needless to say, I wouldn't have been able to be where I am today without each of you and your obedience to supporting the body of Christ pursuing it's call into the world.
May God continue to bless each and every one of you and show you His way.
Love,
